Description

A mount creates distance between the picture frame and the subject being displayed. This emphasises the effect of the image and directs the viewer's attention to the subject. Through the balance of the colours in the picture frame and mount with those in the picture, you can create a harmonious complete work of art and enhance the effect of the image.

Additionally, the use of a mount creates a distance between the subject and the glass plate. This protects the image, as it does not come into contact with the plate.

Photolini offers mounts in black and white in standard dimensions. The mounts are 1.5 mm thick and have a white centre. The mounts are produced using acid-free, ageing-resistant card with non-fade cut edges. For safe transportation, the mounts are delivered individually film-wrapped.
